Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, addresses or payment information. Any purchase you make happens on a third-party retailer's site under that retailer's own privacy policy.

If analytics is enabled, we collect aggregate usage data: pages viewed, approximate location at country or region level, device type, referring source, scroll depth and which outbound links were clicked.

Analytics and cookies

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are useful. GA4 sets cookies or uses similar identifiers to distinguish repeat visits. You can block these with browser settings, a content blocker, or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Affiliate tracking

Outbound links to Amazon and to brand stores may carry a tracking parameter that tells the retailer we referred the visit, so a commission can be attributed. Those parameters do not identify you to us, and we never receive your order contents or payment details.

If you arrive from an advertising campaign, campaign identifiers present in the URL may be passed along to attribute the referral.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers. Aggregate analytics data is retained only as long as it is useful for editorial decisions.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete data relating to you, and to object to analytics processing. Contact us and we will act on any verified request.

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
